Gotham City Impostors Animated Shorts

It's no secret that I've been digging the idea behind the upcoming Batman-themed shooter, Gotham City Impostors, since it was first announced earlier this year.  After all, I AM a big comic-book geek, and there's just something fun about the idea of running around as a half-crazed Batman or Joker wannabe.  It's almost like Team Fortress 2 made sweet, sweet love to a batch of Detective Comics.  Well, to build up interest for the game, Warner Bros. Animation and DC Comics have been putting together some quick, fun animated shorts for the game.

So, in case you've missed them before, here they are again for your viewing pleasure:

After a hard day's work at the office, Steve and Frank turn in for the night ... but it's what they turn into that makes things more interesting.

And in this second short, we learn that sometimes it's best to tip your cabbie well ... and maybe walk to that next clubhouse meeting.

I've played around with some early stuff from the game, and I'll go ahead and step out on a limb to say that Monolith Productions (yep, the folks behind games like F.E.A.R., Condemned: Blood Origins, and a personal favorite of mine, TRON 2.0) have a great game on their hands.  You should definitely check it out when it's released next month for Xbox LIVE, PlayStation Network, and PC.  I know I will.
